All Rules and Regulations set by the Farmers Branch Aquatics Center must be observed at all times. A copy of the rules are available to patrons at request. The City of Farmers Branch has the right to amend or change rules set forth as needed.
Below are general rules of the Farmers Branch Aquatics Center, for Frog Pond or Margaret Young Natatorium specific rules please see the Front desk or Ticket booth (summer months only).
Ratio of Adult to Children swimmers (Adult : Children) shall not exceed the following: - Age 6 and under* 1:3 - Age 7 and older 1:10 *Adult supervisors must be with in arms reach of the children, and must be in the water with them.
Patrons may only attend during public swim hours. Reservations must be made in advanced.
Proper swim attire is required. This includes no bras, zippered shorts, or denim. T-shirts may be worn over a bathing suit. Spectators may accompany a swimming attired person into the pool area provided the spectator remains near the swimmer.
Admission to the pool may be denied for any of the following reasons: - Intoxication or under the influence of drugs (distract patron and call management). - Open wounds or sores (including sun blisters). - Those under the age of 10 without an adult (exception: parents who are under 18 with children).
Abusive or profane language will not be tolerated.
Smoking, alcoholic beverages, drugs, weapons, and gambling are not permitted.
Chewing gum is not permitted.
Glass containers are not permitted.
Public display of affection is prohibited.
Actions deemed unsafe by the lifeguards are prohibited.
Swimmers must stay off lane ropes, safety lines, and guard chairs.
Only US coast guard approved life jackets will be permitted in the pool. The coast guard label must be presented to staff. Any other type of flotation device is prohibited. Only FBAC inner tubes will be permitted in the Lazy River. Adult supervision is required in the water for anyone utilizing a life jacket regardless of age. Life jackets are available, if needed.
Loitering is not permitted.
Only employees are permitted in the lifeguard and staff offices, concession stand, ticket booth, filter areas, mechanical rooms, storage, and anywhere else deemed inappropriate by management.
Service animals are allowed in the facility. Animals are not permitted in the water.
Toys will not be permitted in the Frog Pond at any time, water toys are allowed in the Natatorium, at the discretion of staff.
Prolonged underwater swimming or breath holding is prohibited.
