Are their Life jackets available for use? Yes, the Farmers Branch Aquatics has a limited number of free life jackets that are offered on a first come/first served basis. We do not allow any floaties or any other non-Coast Guard approved life jackets.
Pool guests often ask, "Why do I have to have U.S. Coast Guard Life jacket?" Here are just a few reasons as to why it is important to only wear U.S. Coast Guard Life jacket in the pool.
- The U.S. Coast Guard tests their life jackets structure and material to ensure maximum safety.
- Life jackets are sized by weight. The weight range for each life jacket can be found on the label in the back of the jacket.
- Life jackets work best when worn with all the all straps, zippers and ties fastened.
Why don't you allow any floaties or any other non-Coast Guard approved life jackets? These floatation devices are not recommended both for safety reasons and for coaching reasons. Primarily, these devices give parents a false sense of security when it comes to safety. They may appear to keep a child afloat; however, they are easily punctured and can spontaneously deflate in water. They are NOT life saving devices and should not be relied upon to keep a child afloat in the water. There is a warning label on them indicating this.
Can I re-enter the park if I leave? Yes, all guests must keep their wristband on to re-enter the facility.
Can I bring in or own pop-up tents, chairs, umbrellas or tables? No, for safety reasons, free standing umbrellas, pop-up tents, chairs and tables are not permitted inside the Frog Pond.
Can I bring my own float for the Lazy River? We provide inner tubes free of charge for use in the lazy river on a first come, first serve basis. Outside floatation devices are not allowed.
Can I drop off my child and pick them up later? Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 16 years of age and remain on the facility premises.
Does the Frog Pond ever hit capacity? Yes, we are limited in the amount of guests we can accommodate. We can safely hold 600 guests within the Frog Pond. On very hot days and holiday weekends, the park has hit capacity. We suggest arriving early to ensure entrance. Once capacity is hit, we will not allow guest in the park until other guests leave
