Lifeguard Prerequisites
This in-person Instructor/Instructor Trainer review course is the required course for all Lifeguarding Instructors and Instructor Trainers to re-certify. During this course, Lifeguarding Instructors and Instructor Trainers will participate in an in-water practice and polish skills session with their peers and a classroom-based review of Red Cross administrative policies and procedures. Lifeguarding Instructors and ITs may also choose to attend a brief "test out" session following this course to gain a basic-level Lifeguarding certification.

This American Red Cross Lifeguard certification class includes Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid. Attendance at all class sessions and successful completion are required to receive certification. A lunch break will be provided. Ages 15 and up.

Become certified to teach the American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers, Administering Emergency Oxygen, and Bloodborne Pathogens classes. This course prepares instructor candidates to use course and presentation materials, conduct training sessions, and evaluate the progress of candidates in a professional-level course. Participants should bring a lunch. Ages 17 and up.
The Junior Lifeguard Program introduces participants to skills needed for entry to the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course. Participants will learn communication and decision-making skills, and the basic responsibilities of a lifeguard. The program does not certify participants in the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course. Participants must pass basic swimming skills test prior to registration. Ages 11 – 14 years old. Bring swim suit, towel, change of clothes, and lunch. Participants will have a chance to shadow guard during class. A lunch break will be provided.

Water.Adventure.Leader.Knowledge Program (W.A.L.K)

Sign your kiddo up for two camps for a discounted price through our W.A.L.K. Program. Your child will go through one of the Junior Lifeguarding courses as well as the Junior Swim Instructor course. Each participant will learn the basic lifeguarding responsibilities one week and the following learn the proper techniques of teaching swim lesson all through safety in and around the water. Both camps will have the opportunity for participants to shadow actual lifeguards and swim instructors.
